The ice and snow racing championship held at the Andorra Pas de la Casa Circuit is a spectacular competition. The racing cars make endless skids on the icy track.
This championship is made up of 5 races and is held during the winter months. Riders such as Dani Sordo, Nani Roma, Cyril Despres, Miguel Molina, Dani Clos and also Moto GP riders such as Márquez, Alex Crivillé, Loris Capirosi, Alex Rins… take part.
For RLM Audiovisual, covering this championship is very motivating and a nice challenge due to the adverse weather conditions that must be endured on the circuit located at an altitude of more than 2,400 metres. Snow, wind and temperatures of 10 below zero are what we have to endure during filming.
Our team has worked hard and has fully adapted to these adversities and the results have been exceptional, as our client has told us.
The main tasks we have to carry out are the live broadcast of the Finals that take place during the weekend. To do this we have to set up a production with 5 cameras connected by Radio Frequency signal and by fibre installed in the circuit. Once the competition is over we produce a 27-minute programme ready to be broadcast on any television in the world. And we proceed to deliver a master in Spanish, in English and another without narration so that the television that receives it can add its voice in whatever language. These programmes are distributed to more than 100 countries, therefore the diffusion is global.
The programmes are made up of several sections with interviews and a graphic line of the championship has been created to illustrate part of these sections.
To carry out this project we have more than 10 people, including camera operators, video editors, production, direction, journalist, translator, announcers, etc.
